Geddes Scholarship 2017

Geddes Scholarship 2017 invites applications for the applicants of planning and architecture at a graduate/postgraduate/research level from a recognised university or institution or young practising professionals. The objective of the scholarship is to promote and advance interest in and understanding of town planning. This scholarship will provide an opportunity to create awareness among young planners and architects. The duration of the scholarship will be 6 months and scholarship amount of Rs 45000 will be given.


Terms:

  • The duration of the scholarship will be of 6 months.
  • The scholarship of Rs 45000 will be given in 2 phases, the 1st instalment at the commencement of the scholarship and the 2nd instalment after the submission of the complete project report.
  • 3 months after the commencement of the work, an interim report should be submitted to the coordinator. The report will be circulated to the committee who may offer comments to the researcher to consider. The final report when submitted will also be reviewed by the committee and any changes required can be incorporated.
  • On the successful completion of the study, the applicant may be invited to present the findings in a seminar in Delhi.

Agreement:
The applicant will have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Pratishthan pertaining to a regular flow of work during the scholarship period. The applicant should not be holding another scholarship/fellowship or working on any other project at the same time. In the event of non-completion and non-compliance to any of the terms and conditions mentioned above the scholarship amount must be returned.

How to Apply

The application can be done with the following steps:
Step 1:
Applicants have to send a 2 page CV. The Full postal and telephonic contact details together with email id should be submitted to facilitate contact.
Step 2: Make a project proposal should be written in 1500 words with reference to the specific city /section/mohalla.
Step 3: The names and contact addresses/telephones of 2 referees should also be sent.
Step 4: Now email it or send it to the given address, the application should bear the title ‘Sanskriti – Geddes Scholarship ’ on the envelope/subject if send by post or if email:
